And then all become quiet
This is the first quite morning I have had in...gosh, I really don't know! It's been so long... Too long.
I woke feeling well rested, another first in a very long time. Goes to show you how important it is to get a good nights sleep! I even *gasp* wanted to pick up my camera and take some photos! Holy cow, what is going on???
Well, I am sitting here feeling all warm and cozy inside. It's very cold outside. Wish it was cold and snowing...but Chicago missed the insane snow train that seemed to hit everyone BUT us! Oh my kids are pissed off good too! It's been 2 years since there has been a decent snow fall here! HUMPF...I want some of that pretty white stuff half the country is enjoying right now. But we can't always get what we want...so I will enjoy this quiet morning and stop complaining. ;)
I bought this Real Simple magazine yesterday...I can't wait to open it after Christmas. I am being good...not even peeking inside. I am looking forward to getting more organized in the new year. I am pretty organized now...but there is always room for improvement on that end.
Alright...the last Sunday before the big guy comes tumbling down the chimney...is everyone ready? I think I am. I am avoiding all shopping establishments like the plague...the idea of trying to find a parking spot and waiting in a tragically long line makes me shudder. Instead, I think I will find myself a cozy blanket and have more coffee.
Hope your day is peaceful.
xoxo

I had to go out yesterday & today -- groceries, wine, that kind of thing and surprisingly both days I hadn't much of a wait at all...I don't know why, but I'm happy about it! Enjoy the quiet and the peaceful moments...wishing you & your family a blessed Christmas and a wonderful holiday season...with or without snow! :)

This oozes homey-ness...love it. Merry Christmas C.
Sounds like a perfect way to spend the day! Quiet sounds oh so good right now, and I think that as of about 5 minutes ago, I am starting my quiet. Hope I stay awake long enough to enjoy it! :-)
We have a bit of snow, and a bit more to come tomorrow. Hope you get at least a little bit too. Christmas really need a bit of snow.
I wish you a beautiful Christmas!

Ahhh, I've been mulling around my word for 2013...
quiet, still, rest, surrender are all on this list so far.
peace to you...

Suddenly I feel all warm and cozy...and then I caught your bownie post and now I feel hungry! Wonderful stuff! Have a big Merry Christmas!!!
I did some last minute shopping today but am determined to stay home tomorrow! Your photos look nice and cozy.... I hope you can enjoy more rested, quiet mornings in the weeks ahead.
It's always so beautiful here. I love your photographs, Caroline. This year, I did 97% of my shopping online, starting the day after Thanksgiving and I'm proud to say that even though I didn't buy all that much, I got it done and well ahead of time. Picked up a few odds and ends locally but never had to wait in a line, which always makes me grumpy. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I love a simple holiday, don't you?
What lovely peaceful pictures! I had a bit of running to do this past weekend and it was insane out there! The traffic, the shoppers, the moods, oh my! Combine that with sloppy less than par roads and it was quite the event.
Glad you had a peaceful day.
Merry Christmas!
Of course I love these pictures.
Have a great Christmas.
