So I am not sure if this photo collage I made is totally illegal... probably. But I looked for sources and could not find the originals. I found most of these images on various tumblr sites (these 2 sites I love...Modern Hepburn and Oh so lovely obsessions). So not sure if it's cool to re blog...but I love these images, especially the one of Lady Di! How awesome is that? Lady Di flips the bird...coolness! (Update...I learned the photo of Lady Di is NOT actually Lady Di, but a look a like...obviously fooled me! Photo Is by Alison Jackson...thank you Emma!)
***OK...so I made this image below. Just playing around in photoshop. This is my favorite color at the moment and I used a simple feather brush. I donno, it calms me. Pink always calms me down. It's my favorite color...especially the soft pale pinks...and musty colored pinks.

Anyhoooo...I thought this was eye opening... I stumbled across a new book marking site called WOOKMARK...it looks very very cool (just like Pinterest but more organized and stylized). And you can be a bit more creative with your on-line pinning. But I thought, before signing up, I should read the fine print. And I am so glad I did. It was mostly boring to read and my brain kept going blah blah blah...bacon...blah blah blah. Oh shit...read that again Caroline! Wookmark does something tricky...they use your email address (which they sell provide to 3rd party advertisers...you CANNOT opt out of that). And based on everything you pin, 3rd parties can spam the shit out of you and use your pins to create profiles about you. Hello!!?? So obviously, I did not sign up...and it's just like Pinterest, they take no responsibility for your pins and you will get your ass sued off (while they sit there and smile and shrug their shoulders at you from the sidelines) if someone decides that you pinned something that was theirs...yada yada you know the drill by now. So no on-line pinning for me still *sigh*. I still go on Pinterest and look around...but no boards for me anymore.

So I did find this top image on Pinterest, again, no idea who the original source is for this...so I wanted to re-create this for my self. I like how it turned out too...I might even frame it.
this is not my photo...I found it on Pinterest
now this is my photo!

Ok-do-kee...I need to take a photo of a tree today for the TML March challenge. But it's 9AM and I am still in jammies and don't feel like getting out to do this at the moment. So I think tomorrow I will combine day 4 and 5. I can do that...not always necessary to play exactly by the rules with these things.
And one more question...I am thinking of doing a weekly email thing...sending out a photo a week and maybe something inspirational. Does anyone have experience setting up something like that? And would it be interesting at all? What I would send would be totally unique and not on the blog. I would love your thoughts!
Have a beautiful Sunday!
P.S. I may not be on pinterest...but if you see anything here you like...you have my permission to pin it. :)

Oooooo badass Lady Di!
thanks for the info at wook whatever...I think all these pinning sites are just new ways for spammers to latch on so I'm steering clear of all of them. Better safe than sorry!!
Love your photo...totally frame worthy!
As for Lady Di and the finger...I've just finished a book about the Queen and from all accounts (from various sources) Lady Di wasn't always very much of a "lady". Which just proves...we are who we are. Image is great and creating an image you'd like for people to see you as is fine, but it's just so much easier to be yourself...warts, flaws and all. That poor woman had a hell of a time keeping her real self and her "wanna be" self contained in one body.
hullo - love your blog but just for your info...that isn't Princess Di - the photo is by Alison Jackson a notorious British photographer, who is best known for her photographs of celebrity impersonators in compromising, shocking or vulnerable positions.
Thank you Emma! I need to look up Alison...sounds like an awesome photographer!
I really love your feather photo. That's a shade of pink I'm especially fond of, as well. I'd love to upholster one girly chair in a fabric of that colour.
That photo by Alison Jackson is great...the fact that she has found look-alikes to do these photos with is amazing. I've just been checking out her webpage and had quite the good laugh! Just shows -- you can never just take something at "face" value! :)
Love the rose (yours)...frame- and wall-worthy. And there is spam all over the place. All of a sudden I'm getting email from Afghanistan...not just one or two but tons...and from different people. Well, at least it looks like different people. I don't read Afghany (???) or whatever language they speak. Ugh! No offense to my Afghanistan friends (if I had any).
Hi Caroline,
I'm the founder of Wookmark, and found it super interesting, and surprising, to see your comments. We don't sell any of your email or data to anyone. Our business model is based on advertising, and premium subscriptions (for privacy and other features).
I have a personal issue with intrusion of privacy and spam, and working hard to keep Wookmark a clean, trustworthy place. The terms and conditions are standard legal text with the goal to protect us from getting sued. Part of that is that we can't be completely responsible for what people do on the site. Just like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc, the content is created by the people who use the site. We do very light content moderation (we don't want porn, for example) and respond to copyright issues to handle as much as we can on our side. We'll take another look at our terms and see if we can't clarify them a bit.
Regarding getting sued for posting an image to Wookmark, consider this: You can post images to Facebook, Tumblr, Google+, Twitter. They have combined a billion users, and I can't find a single instance where a user has been sued for the action of posting an image. We take the issue very serious, and I think you will be OK if you decide to use Wookmark, or a similar service.
Hope this helps to shed some light and make you more comfortable with our service.
Thanks, and I'd love to hear back if you have any questions.
Christoph.
How totally awesome that Alison created that photo. I'm sure the real Lady Di wanted to do that for real...all the time. I miss her. Your rose shot is breathtaking.
Hi Christoph! Thank you for your comment...very informative to say the least. And I really appreciate you stopping by here! I did send you an email with some questions. I look forward to your response.
I love *your* photos...and the pinks..so soft..
And I love that you cautioned us to read the fine print, and in doing so "stirred it up"...what happens if we actually read the fine print--we are able to create change:) Awesome reflection for this day--thank you!
the lady di photo?!!? LOVE IT!!! actually, i love all of these photos! your feather and rose shots are beautiful!
Loving your posts lately. Love that you share so much. Love seeing Christoph stop by and respond. Very cool! Look how much we are all learning through you!
