Meet Gregg.
Now I am totally psyched about this photo! I have been dying to get a surfer picture. I finally got up the nerve to ask him (after letting 4 or 5 surfers pass me by). Gregg had a really nice smile and approachable "feel". Most surfers I see seem to be in a hurry to get into the water...so I didn't want to bother them. But Gregg was finished for the day and was walking up from the beach.
We were chatting for awhile and he told me that he's been surfing since 1976. Anyway, I guess the surf was pretty rough as he lost one of his fins on his board! He thought that was pretty funny.
On a side note:
I have yet to learn to surf...
