How do you hold hope?
What does hope mean to you?
Does it make you look forward to something?
Is it faith?
I don't have the answer.
But yes, I have hope.
I think we all hold hope differently. Some of us cling tightly to it. Some just carry it lightly in their heart. Some might even say they don't have it.
I am thinking of hope a lot lately. "Hoping" for some things to happen. "Hoping" for this and that. "Hoping" for some changes.
So today I sit with hope in my heart.
And it feels nice.
I want to share one of my all time favorite songs in the world...yes, in the world! And I thank that beautiful Christina of Soul Aperture for making me think of Lenny today. xoxo

hope....yep i have some, but unless i get out there and do something, hope can feel useless and suck the life out of me....

Great minds....I just posted on hope this morning at my blog w!th guest author, Sue Patton Thoele! For me, hope is trusting in the basic goodness of people, life, and a "power" beyond myself (but which also lives through me). Perhaps some of your readers would like to pop over and read what Sue says about hope? She wrote a book on it. :-) Plus there is a giveaway.

I am laughing at Beth's answer; hope to me is such a passive thing, hope without action just hope, just a word. (Blame my grandfather for my awful attitude - hope was his profession - lol!) I am also agreeing with everyone - without hope, we are doomed, and naked with no feathers. And now, I too, am off to get me a little Lenny. ;)

hmm. i can be a bit doom and gloom, but i try to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. even when i am sUPER DUPER DOWN, i usually have a teeny tiny bit of hope that keeps me going. thank gawd for HOPE!
I can't imagine a life without hope I think it is the thing we all have in common, take care. loved Lenny.
I am forever hopeful of the best in people, even when no one else is. Hope is hard to hold, but letting go of it is something I could never do.

Hope can be beautiful like a blue sky day. You have to give Hope wings to fly, so it can bring you back what you are wishing for.
