Just when you think...awww the hell with it... The universe goes and does something really funny...just to let you know not to give up.
Soooo...back in January I submitted photos into Getty Images (basically they sell stock photos for mags, annual reports, websites, etc.). I didn't think much of it actually. I used my "I am doing this for shits and giggles" philosophy. Which is a really really good way to thinking sometimes (basic survival tactic). "Just for shits and giggles." Plus it's funny to say, don't you think?
Anyhoo...I got an email yesterday from Getty with 5 images of mine that they want to use. WTF?!
Seriously.
So off they went...who knows...maybe they will be used...or not. But it really was the validation I was looking for. And heck if I make .12 cents it's an extra crouton on my salad!

months ago i was told that one of my photos was being considered for publication on a website. i was SHOCKED and STOKED. so then i was notified that i was one of the winners, so i was pretty excited. then i found out that over 1000 folks had winning entries, and none of us would get paid. ahahahhahah! oh well! :)
