Did you know today is international women's day? I had no idea until a man told me this morning! LOL. The theme this year is equal rights for all. Well, I am certainly down with that!
But I want to take my own spin on this day today.
So.....
If you are a woman...why do you love being a girl?
And boys...what do love about women (oh yes, we want to know!)?
I'll tell you why I love being a woman:
- I get to wear pretty skirts and tops
- perfume
- make-up
- being soft and feminine
- my kids coming to me for comfort
- playing dress up
- wearing flowers in my hair
- being so in touch with my intuition
- being associated with the goddess

Hmmm... let's see, there is so much! I think multitasking is certainly an asset (men just can't manage it can they?) Also I love the way I can form close and intimate friendships with other women. Oh yeah - and wearing loud nail varnish!

I love being a woman because of the ability to wear girlie things, high heels, enjoy spa time with your girlfriends, drink girlie-drinks like champagne, feel the incredible love for your child, and be loved so deeply by a man who believes you hung the moon.
I love being a woman because I know how to communicate with the other people who live on this planet....men don't quite get it !
oh they try....they try really hard, but still, they don't have it perfected the way women do....we were born with it !
Among the many reasons that I love being a woman:
I love the dichotomy that Woman is. I can be fierce, yet feminine; strong, yet delicate; practical and, yet frivolous.
I love the freedom to be lavish with my love and appreciation of others.
I love the uniquely female relationships I have with other women.
I love that I can change my mind, at a moment's notice.
I love that I am the cherry on the top of God's creation.

Growing a human being in your belly of 9 months is pretty amazing!
Hands down, being a mother. And being able to wear turquoise. It's such a feminine color!

I do love women, I love the way they think, their intrinsic compassion and not having a need to measure their "manhood" in the way that many men do. I love the diversity of women and all they bring to this world. I love the softness they can bring to the world. I much prefer the company of women than I do men.
I also had no idea that yesterday was woman's day. I am thinking every day is... I also love being a woman. I say love whoever you are.
I love the strength and resilience of women. I also love that most of us let our heart direct our actions and thoughts.
I love that I can stand in a stream and fly fish and go home to change in to a girlie little dress and a pair of heels. I love that I don't have to stand when I go to the bathroom. I love my soft, feminine and giving nature that speaks loudly WOMAN.
