Finding clarity

Sometimes you have to go through a tunnel of darkness to see the light.  And when you get out of the darkness, bask in that light...for it's truly a gift.

As it seems that a moment of clarity is so fleeting.

Don't you agree?

And...I am hoping to find more clarity...as I am picking up my meditation practice once again.  I have noticed a HUGE difference since January and Jan's meditation challenge.  I rarely meditated this month...and I have been totally "wonky."  I feel less connected and more stressed.  All the little things things are bothering me again and I don't seem to have much focus.

It really is amazing...how allowing yourself to sit (even for a few short moments each day) can bring about profound clarity and stillness.

So why not take this moment to just close your eyes and breathe...find your place of quiet happiness.

Be still.

Be blessed.

p.s....did you notice that new photo on my sidebar?  I am committing to sitting.  Everyday.  Even for just 5 minutes.  Feel free to grab that photo and place it on your blog...as a reminder to take a few moments out of your day to be still.

Take a peek...I am blooming 365 days in 2010

it is hard work to grow in the right direction and so very easy to slip back...but really there is no other choice if you want to live your best life. just one step, one breathe at a time to get back on track...

Do you have an effective mantra? I have been searching for one but perhaps the searching and questing is the problem?

I wish I could think of the right words for your photo ... it's perfect ... just perfect

Your awareness is keen.

Me - simply breathing, thanks!

Your photo is simply beautiful, and yes meditate, i am breathing.

ohhh.....I'm going to try it, but settling down this head of mine is a tough job.....now go away thoughts, let me be in peace....caroline says so !

Those quiet times definitely help me to gain both clarity and an extra sense of peace....

The first thing I noticed today was the photo on the sidebar of you "sitting" and I loved it!!

Clarity -- it is fleeting, but I do believe the more we work with it, the more we focus and find the quiet place, the longer it lasts.

Mindfulness, meditation, sitting, breathing...so "simple" and yet we don't allow enough time in our lives for this. Sounds like a plan to make to me!

i bet meditation will help you! i can't do it. i am no good at it. i know it takes practice and that it must be so helpful. maybe is should try again. in the meantime, tv helps me. and so does exercise. ha! :)

hope you have a nice weekend! :)

a quiet mind makes way for a lot of listening and a clear heart.

Meditation is a wonderful tool for us all to get to know life better.

be well

I'm still waiting for my moment of clarity - I'll breathe with you! Love your "Breathe" photo - I will nab that -- thank you my dear and I'm wishing you all the best!

It's easier to run from the darkness, it's brave of you to face it :)

Clarity... this is my word for the year. And I just began meditating.

I might grab that one....and be still for every moment I'm looking at it. Thanks.

Oh and how on earth do you manage to take such gorgious pics of yourself? Do explain me your trick.
Sweet love Dagmar

I think that search for clarity through stillness is a worthy pursuit. I think I'll try it.

I always love your self-portraits. Good reminder to sit, thanks!

Caroline,
I am so glad you are "back" and sitting. It does calm one and create extra clarity. Today I sat in this way--out in the sun on a chaise, overlooking a little pond here in S. Fl. Just listening, watching, gazing. No thought, simply noticing of clouds, swallows swooping in for sips of water, an egret fishing along the edge. The sound of palm trees swishing in the breeze. Warmth of sun on the skin. I didn't do ANYTHING but simply sat, listened, watched.

Perhaps more of us could let go, sit, breathe and be well...I so appreciate your reference to the Meditation Challenge yet again and that lovely icon. Sitting never looked more beautiful.

Hugs!
