Joy of normalcy

This is my dog Anja...she helps me feel normal!

First off...thank you all for your wonderful and supportive comments yesterday. You all made me feel a lot less crazy. Thankfully, as the day went on a sense of normalcy settled in...and I welcomed it with open arms.

I even got that damn room painted! And the Christmas cards finished! How about that?

As I strolled through Target in my thick fog (yikes...I even snuck a target trip in between the painting and the cards!) I spied 2 movies on sale for $7.50...gotta love that! So in the cart went "Knocked Up" (I love you Seth Rogen!) and "The Holiday" (I love you too Jack Black).

Last night I did what I do when it all becomes too much...turn my brain off and become a slave to the television. So at 10:00 PM I settled in to watch The Holiday...not going to bed until after midnight. But I thoroughly enjoyed those 2 hours...giving my swirling brain a rest.

Oh yeah...I gotta give another shout out to Droll Girl today for posting this (LMAO!).

So I hope you have a wonderful weekend...I am off to do the laundry...and might even try to sneek in "Knocked Up" before the kids come home from school. *smiles*

By the way, have I mentioned that I love you guys?  Yeah...I totally do! ((hugs))

would january work for you :)

those eyes....
wow, how do you stop yourself from falling in there every second of every day ???

and I'm a little more normal today too...maybe it was the moon or something ??

and both of those movies...love them !

my girlfriend and I were comparing notes on movies and books yesterday and she is so behind...

she hasn't seen "dan in real life" or the "notebook" or "forgetting sarah marshall"....those are some of my favs.....

What a beautiful doggie! She's so cute in that picture. I love those movies too. I'm glad that you're feeling great. I was a slave to TV last night too. I got to catch up on So You Think You Can Dance. Everyone needs those kind of nights, just to relax and chill. "Chill" sounds like I'm trying to be a teen again :)

Oh I love Anja! What an adorable baby!! My dog's name is Arya and her breeder always used to make the mistake of calling her Anja. Cute little synchronicity. :)

beautiful companion - so sweet.

enjoy the movies.. and have a beautiful weekend too

you have a beautiful pooch. and love the flicks...for vintage joy try The Bishops Wife!

What a sweet dog. She truly is a gift. I like the movies you picked out. Both are good. Jack Black is one of my faves.

Sweet Anja. You sound pretty normal to me... I like Seth Rogen, too. (Oh, by the way, what are we using as a definition of "normal"?)

LOVE THE DOG SHOT! i could just hug him! if he would let me. :)

and thanks for the shout out! that caulk talk is a MUST SEE! ha hahahah!

hope you have a super weekend, and that it is relaxing, fun, and productive if need be. :)

Oh. My. Dog. She is absolutely adorable. What an amazing shot!! I wish you could come to my house and take an amazing picture of my little Bella. That picture is fantastic.

I LOVE the movie The Holiday. It's on TV often and I always find myself sucked into it (even though I have it on DVD too!). It's such a feel good holiday film. :)

The Holiday!! Thank you for reminding me of something I want to watch again...I'm not a huge fan of any of those actors, but I so loved that film!!

Anja is so soulful...what a beautiful face, and gorgeous eyes and you could just fall and keep falling looking into this beautiful face.

As for Coco's blog -- yowza...fabulous writing there!

she is a sweetheart!

i just re-watched the holiday and it reminded me that i want to buy it so that i have it around. it's a good one for this time of year.

Cute dog. Have fun with your laundry and your new flick. =]

What a sweet face! What breed is she? Room painted, cards finished, shopping ... you've been productive!

Caroline, I just love your photo of your dog and your dog, well those eyes would suck me in in no time. Have a great day.

This photo is beautiful in every way, in the natural light, and the light in her eyes. Simply wonderful.
