I scored today...totally scored! If you recall, a few posts ago I complained about how I bought these boots, returned them only to buy them someplace else...yada yada yada. Long story short. I got another pair because I didn't like them afterall. And then I didn't even like those!!! Typical.
So three pairs of boots later...
I decide that on-line shopping is just not going to cut it...I have to shop around. So off I go to the dreaded and horrible mall. Then I spot them. Quickly. My hawk eyes hit the target. Even better...they are on sale! I put these babies on, looked at my self in the mirror, and knew...keepers.
I didn't even take them off...I put my shoes I wore into the store in the box. Paid my bill and walked out with a whole new attitude. Funny how a pair of boots can do that to you. And you know...I turn 40 in 11 days (but who's counting) and if I buy something that makes me feel remotely warm...it's mine. But these boots make me feel kinda hot. I know, right!? I'm sorry...but I have been settling for warm too long...lol. Not too shabby for a soon to be 40 year old!

I don't know that I could ever buy clothing/boots/shoes on line..I think I'd frustrate myself (maybe not, but that's what I think). For me, seeing them, touching, holding, deciding -- it's half the fun. I hate the mall trek but when I see something I love....
And I loved you wearing them home..that is such a "me" thing too!

You go girl with your hot new attitude. I ran from forty but it caught up with me and now I find myself in about a month running from 41. But it ain't so bad. And when you look as good as you, no one even will even guess. =) Love the boots!!

ha! i love this little story! i think i bought 5 pairs of boots on line in the last few months (i know, i know!), and only kept one! hah a hah. oh well. i guess all this drama is fine as long as we end up with what we want! and your boots are perfect!

From a woman over 50 with a closet full of boots + a pair of steel toed rubber ones in the back of the Jeep (and hey, even they make me feel hot!) I so get this. Nothing does it like a new pair of boots, except maybe an old pair that you still feel great in.

40 is nothing...now at 60 my calves are too heavy (I prefer to think muscular) to wear boots...but shoes I really need to try on...

I just bought a pair of Fryes online. I love them, but they do not quite work (the heels are wider than mine), and I don't know if a smaller size is going to cut it. Cannot decide how much effort to put into making them work, especially since everyone says they are so worth it. Argh. I wish there was a store that sold them nearby ..
