Procrastination

whisper

Procrastination...a favorite word of mine...lol. Yesterday I had a lot to do, but somehow redecorating my blog seemed to take priority. It just needed a little autumn makeover. But hey, I learned how to make a blog background (not sure if you can see it on your screen...but, I made that cool autumnish background texture...woo hoo!). Now my life is complete.

But really, isn't it fun to get lost in something other than tasks? It's like a little vacation. I was so happy doing something fun. Sure, I am gonna pay. So today I will hit the ground running and catch up on everything that fell to the wayside yesterday. But I am happy...I now have a little autumn nook to hang out at when I am in cyberspace. I do hope that you enjoy yourself here...I do love when you stop by!

Hope your Thursday is glorious!

P.S. I created this just for you...how cute is this?? Boy am I easily distracted or what?

Going with the flow :) The best insight is gained this way. It may appear like procrastination to others but we are calmly flowing with the universe :)

Your site looks great :) Happy autumn :) Peace :)

Caroline,
You say "distracted", and I say "sweet". You are a sweet and caring person, and that shines through.

And the background is very nice. And I can relate to how it's fun to just get lost in this type of stuff sometimes...

I claimed Thursday as Procrastination Day for Dawn a long time ago, since that is my chosen day off from work. Literally it is a me day and if I feel like cleaning or doing chores I will but mostly I play. Feels good;)
Wonderful drawing, btw. Made me smile inside.
Peace~
Dawn

Caroline, I love days like those you describe. Where I let everything go and just putz, play with stuff, noodle around. My mother calls it "fussing" in a good way, meaning she just whiles away the time as she desires. I believe these kinds of days are essential for our well-being, to go with the creative flow and just have fun, just be! Too many other days with two many pressures. I read once that M.Scott Peck who wrote "The Road Less Traveled" attributed his success to having one day a week where he did absolutely nothing.

Love the new blog look. It's refreshing and fun! xo

Love the new look, sweetness! Awesome texture. Gee, doing something fun instead of chores? Sign me up to the Procrastination Club! :)

I love the new background. I also love having days of just playing around. I probably have more than I should. lol

You are sweet also.

Some days are just made for play, not work!

Ah, it can be my favorite word as well. If kept to a minimum.. (a day or so) it's not too bad... but if left to its own devices, it spiral out of control. It's something that I have to keep track of. Days like you mention, are actually constructive. By using our "downtime" for something we enjoy, it is like a mini vacation. It rejuvenates and energizes us to rejoin the daily activities with new determination. Love and Light, Nina P

I so love your new background! The little gift you created for us is too sweet! You've placed a smile upon my face, because I know you smiled as you typed this post. :)

Your blog is one of my new favorites, your photography is amazing! I'll be checking on you often, thanks for sharing your talents with all of us cyberfriends!

Your blog is gorgeous! I love all the colors and design.

beautiful updates to the blog - love the colors and the cute little stamp.

:)

oh, i know all about procrastination! but at least you created something beautiful in the meantime. yay for that!

i recently read (or heard? i can't remember) that procrastination is usually the cause of 1) either not knowing exactly how to proceed with said task(s); or 2) fear of failure. not sure if this is ALWAYS true, but maybe sometimes.

Caroline -- I think days like you described are when your child demands playtime. You are wise to let her play.

I love the background and the "You are Sweet" picture. Your designs are truly beautiful. I love coming here and seeing what new picture you have created...so, I glad you played:~)

Time spent creating beauty is never wasted. (And, lovely woman, how bad can your thighs be...really?) :)

love the autumn colours...my favourite season :)

Oh and procrastination is my middle...Ahhh I'll finish that sentence later

the autumn colours are luscious...nice work!

i'm with genie....give me anything fun or creative over chores any day. then, just like you, i have to go on a wild cleaning frenzy to catch up on the housework i let lapse.

awwwwwwww....YOU are sweet!

Oh I am a professional procrastinator!!! Blogging is rather good for that - th perfect distraction. Although in your case - it is creatig. It is making art - not procrastinating at all.

Thanks you guys...loved your comments today! :)

I just love your posts Caroline. Love them. Love them! Love them!

The warm colours you chose make it the perfect little autumn nook. I absolutely love the picture you chose for your header.
