Don't you love this little red cabin in the woods? I can only imagine how beautiful it looks covered in snow. I have always dreamed of having a little place like this tucked away in the forest...a place to go and be quiet, create, relax and dream. We all need a place to go and escape now and then...if even through a photograph.
So what about you? I am curious to know...what is your dream getaway?

Fantastic shot! Great looking cabin which has me dreaming too..
very beautiful, I love your style this is stunning, snow covered indeed... :)
A little stone cottage with a stream running by it. Big green trees, rock formations, and moss everywhere. I can really breathe there.
(Terrific shot and adorable cabin.)
Wonderful photograph!
My dream also :)
A cottage with forest around it, by a lake, with a nice river running by and plenty of land to grow food. Perhaps even on a mountain... heaven :)
Back to healing and praying for a miracle so I can live the dream :)
That would be a heavenly retreat! A really great getaway.
I do think I would love a warm beach too :)
My dream home!
Everything I need...may dreams come true. Bless you for sharing it with us (I might have kept it just for me,...no just kidding, I would have invite you all and have a wonderful snow covered party). Dagmar
It's a little house by the beach. But I'll take this cabin.
Caroline, this photograph is incredible. I absolutely love what you've done with it. I love this print!
A cottage in the woods, on a lake where I can see the sunrise each morning.
Caroline,
I love the photo too. Stunning! I am not a woodsy girl, I am afraid, though this cabin does appeal. I need horizon and water, so a quaint seaside cottage is for me. We ALL need a sacred space where we can go and just be...May you someday have yours in the woods.
Caroline, that cabin looks divine. I would love to spend a full 7 days in a place just like that writing, drawing and reading.
Beautiful! I want to be there.
Mine involves Tuscany with trips to Florence and the ocean :)
To be in this cabin, curled up by a wood fire, looking out the window at a breathtaking view; sun gently kissing the horizon; the setting of the sun brings glorious warm colors, an end to a day, but a beginning to a cozy night cuddled up by the fire.Thank you for inviting us to share the view. Love and Light, Nina P
I'll have to say a cottage or house overlooking the ocean. Still, that red cabin just might give my ocean getaway some competition.
i would LOVE to hole up in there for a good week or two. it is beautiful, and the setting looks so gorgeous and peaceful.
Such magic! LOVE this image!
:-)

a lovely cabin by the sea..large windows, fireplace, oh I would love to go now....
I love your new fall blog colors!! Wow The color pops out at you when you open the page.
I think you also widened the page for your photos. Very nice touch.
The red cabin is beautiful. I could enjoy a few weeks kicking back reading some good books as long...
as their is a chef cooking me some yummy food! Or, at least, a decent restaurant down the road :-)
Oh my....this is so gorgeous and the exact thing to come to my mind when I think of a dream getaway. Absolute perfection in my eyes!
my dream getaway...hmmmm....
have you ever seen practical magic? well, mine would be their house. it's breathtaking. & your cabin pretty much sums up my second dream getaway, somewhere in the forest, somewhere cozy ;o)

Hugs to You, Caroline!
Hi Caroline No my photo's aren't good on the blog. I'm missing 1/3 of them always on the right when I put them there on the large size. Still working on it. But thanks for your sweet comment. Dagmar
Wow, that is gorgeous! My dream (and my husband's too) is a small old house -- maybe a Cape or an eyebrow colonial -- on 20 acres in upstate NY or Vermont.
I love the processing in this photo -- gorgeous!
this place would be just fine and I don't even care where it is!! ;))
That little cabin is my dream get-away!! It's in Northern Michigan, near Lake Michigan & surrounded by woods, birds & friends!! I have it all now but the cabin!!
My dream getaway is Ireland. I will do it someday. :)
I agree, even a photo of a cabin can hold a sacred space for us. Living in this little log cabin in the woods is a dream come true for me.
