swoon

The story of a girl and her shoes...

Once upon a time there was a silly girl who loved shoes. But she had a little secret that she didn't like to admit...she had a big bunion on her left foot. This nasty bunion meant the end of pretty heals and cute strappy sandals (boo hoo). It made her sad sometimes. She felt like she missed out on wearing all those sexy heels. Poor girl.

Now this girl was smart. If she actually found shoes that were fashionable, cute and felt good, she would buy them (she did the same with jeans). So yesterday this girl went to Marshall's looking for backpacks and goodies for back to school. As she wandered around the store dazzled by all the delights, she found herself in the shoe isle. Now you never know, backpacks could be there too!

This lovely girl instantly spied these beautiful peacock blue Born flats. They sat on the shelf and beckoned her over. Oh how her heart began that excited pitter-patter. Will they fit, she wondered? Will they feel comfortable? Slowly she slipped off her flip-flops and carefully put on the beautiful blue shoes. Oh! She felt like Cinderella...they fit! They actually fit! And felt good!!! Then she flipped the shoe over and saw they were only $29.00...indeed it was happy happy day! And this excited girl did a little happy dance in the isle.

The End.

I love a happy ending, don't you?

Born makes this? I LOVE Born! They're the most comfortable shoes. And I love your photography and this little story.

Too cool!

Great photo :)
cute shoes :)

Caroline have you ever thought about producing a calendar? I'd buy one... your photos are very beautiful.

best wishes

Caroline, tell the girl that feet with bunions really love Arcopedicos. Type in Arcopedico at Amazon and you'll see at least part of the options. The upper part of the shoe is stretchy, but they just look like cool ballet flats (and they have great arch support built in).

And I think Ribbon's suggestion about the calendar is a great one, you sweet little Artist.

Your shoes are so cute as was your story! :)

What a wonderful Cinderella story!!!! And she danced off into the horizon wearing her Peacock Blue shoes! Such a Happy Ending! Love and Light, Nina P.

I have some sweet red flats that I love wearing. hope you enjoy yours as much.

i have gotten 2 pair of born there in the last year. i must look for these and if they don't have my size i will be sad. but happy that you have them. :)

Very sweet post that made me chuckle. Love the brilliant blue. I'm a ballet flats kind of girl myself. I save the heels for special nights out only anymore.

What a sweet story and I love the picture. It's beautiful :)

I love happy endings especially when they have pretty blue shoes.

This photograph is making ME swoon! It's beautiful and I love everything about it...the light, the softness, the texture...perfect!

loving your blog and the beautiful images!! and had to pipe in now...i had an operation on a bone spur a year ago and it did not go well. long story short, i still can not wear many styles of shoes, but i learned about blogs and blogging while i recovered ( and when i say recovered...well, it's an ongoing thing). talk to me first if you are thinking of taking care of that bunion. it is so hard to find comfy shoes :(
