Isn't it funny how you can look at something and not realize that there is a entirely different story behind it. I have had a few interesting experiences this week that have really opened my eyes. Sometimes I have an idea about something and create a story in my mind to fill in the blanks. Only then I find out that what I conjured up was way off from the truth.
For instance, when you see this lotus flower...what do you imagine the background is like? Pond? Tropical setting? Zen garden? Botanical garden? I bet that local car wash didn't come to mind. Yep, I took this at the car wash...they have a small water feature there! Isn't that funny?

so true and every one see things differently so each person who looks can get a different story.
I see this a lot with competition photography. A judge will comment on my work or the work of others and will be totally of the mark of I did or why I did it and other times they can be so right.

Beautiful!! I love surprises like that!! I find that what pleases my I or more often what doesn't - someone else loves!! I quit trying to decide what to put out there for sale - artwork and photography..I just put it out there. Beautiful shots!!!

I love finding things in unusual places, and you're right, so often things aren't what they seem to be. If only people would talk rather than jump to conclusions sometimes!

Funny, but as soon as I saw the first photo, I thought: "Caroline's been to the botanical garden..." such a lovely sight must have made the car wash so much more enjoyable. :)
